We are so pleased to be working with Kymbrook and Thurleigh Primary
Schools.  Petite Etoile currently teaches French lessons to years 3, 4, 5 and 6.



What will your child gain by learning French with Petite Etoile?

How do we deliver French at Kymbrook Primary?

  • One 45 min - 1 hour lesson per week with year 5 & 6 and year 3 & 4 class.

  • Clear routines of meeting and greeting in French to help pupils feel safe and secure.

  • Lots of rewards to promote positive learning behaviour: stamps for effort each lesson which lead to prizes; star table awards for teamwork; french ambassador roles to encourage peer support and role modelling.

Summer Term 2021:

  • Year 3 and 4 have been given the Ratatouille Challenge!  See below for more info.

Year 3 & 4:  The Ratatouille Challenge!

As a reward for their fantastic progress and positive attitude in French, year 3 and 4 are finishing the summer term by watching the Disney film 'Ratatouille' and in doing so, are learning about various aspects of French food and Parisian culture.  This week the children learned about the French culinary dish 'Ratatouille' and were given a recipe in French to bring home.  They have the fun challenge if they wish, to cook Ratatouille and bring in or send Madame Kaler a picture of their cooking.  Each child that takes part in the challenge will earn a small prize.  For the recipe, click the button below.

Each class spends 10-15 minutes per week recapping and extending their knowledge of French vocabulary by working through the workbooks below.
