We are so pleased to be working with St John Rigby Primary School. 
Petite Etoile currently teaches French lessons to 5 and 6.

What will your child gain by learning French with Petite Etoile?

How do we deliver French at St John Rigby Primary?

  • A one hour lesson per week with each year 5 and year 6 class

  • Clear routines of meeting and greeting in French to help pupils feel safe and secure.

  • Lots of rewards to promote positive learning behaviour: stamps for effort each lesson which lead to prizes; star table awards for teamwork; french ambassador roles to encourage peer support and role modelling.

  • We are setting you The Croque Monsieur Challenge!  In your French lessons you will have seen a video of how to make a Croque Monsieur. Click on the blue box below to watch this again.  Please take a photo of yourself and your creation and if your parents give you permission, please email me your picture and I will put it in the St John Rigby gallery below, plus pop it alongside the other Croque Monsieur Challenge photos!

Class workbooks:

Each child in year 5 and 6 will have a copy of of the Mr French workbook below in addition to their class folder, enabling them to recap and extend their written knowledge of basic French vocabulary.
