Each week I will be adding a new video teaching families some fun French.
Les enfants - children - this is a good time to teach Mum and Dad and show
them what you know! Each week you will have a new:
- lesson in Team Home School with ideas of games and activities to do as a family
- story in our Story Time section
- song in our Sing Along section
Please keep me posted with pics of the activities you
complete and let me know if I can share them on the
website for your friends and family to see.

We are so pleased to be working with St John Rigby Primary School.
Petite Etoile currently teaches French lessons to 5 and 6.

How do we deliver French at St John Rigby Primary?

A one hour lesson per week with each year 5 and year 6 class

Clear routines of meeting and greeting in French to help pupils feel safe and secure.

Lots of rewards to promote positive learning behaviour: stamps for effort each lesson which lead to prizes; star table awards for teamwork; french ambassador roles to encourage peer support and role modelling.

We are setting you The Croque Monsieur Challenge! In your French lessons you will have seen a video of how to make a Croque Monsieur. Click on the blue box below to watch this again. Please take a photo of yourself and your creation and if your parents give you permission, please email me your picture and I will put it in the St John Rigby gallery below, plus pop it alongside the other Croque Monsieur Challenge photos!

Each child in year 5 and 6 will have a copy of of the Mr French workbook below in addition to their class folder, enabling them to recap and extend their written knowledge of basic French vocabulary.
